Regarding the Daily Mail piece today featuring our work*, we have a couple of comments.
Firstly, we were delighted that they didn’t grossly misrepresent the conversation we had with their undercover reporter. We spoke to him as we spoke to all potential clients – being clear that we don’t promise access or influence, never disclosing details of our clients and offering significantly more affordable pricing than our competitors. They also highlighted that we turn down 40% of potential clients who we feel don’t stand a realistic chance of success – we don’t take money for long shots. (There are a couple of inaccuracies – but nothing major!)
However, there is a fundamental disagreement in their contention that the type of services we offer are “cynical”. We strongly believe that just as using a lawyer to secure innocence in court does not devalue the eventual acquittal, using professionals to compellingly tell a life story does not devalue any Honour which is granted. Everybody has the right to use professionals to support their personal goals – we can use coaches to make us better in sports, mentors to help us succeed in business, accountants to safeguard our wealth.
Our business offers – with full transparency and disclosure – advice and support to allow the achievements of worthy candidates to be recognised. There is a free route open to everybody – we highlight this on our website and even provide links and free tools to help people who want to go it alone.
If you would like professional, affordable support in exploring a nomination, we’re here to help.
(* We aren’t linking to the piece because the Daily Mail is not a publication that fits our view of the world and we are choosing not to further their reach.)
